Braithwaite Village Camping and Caravanning Club in the heart of the beautiful Lake District is an outstanding site offering facilities to suit all needs and tastes. Located within the Lake District's National Park near the beautiful market town of Keswick, Braithwaite Village is ideally situated between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake. Braithwaite Village is nestled in the impressive backdrop of the Coledale Horseshoe and enjoys dramatic views towards Skiddaw and the Northern Fells. Whinlatter Forest has superb mountain bike trails, walking and impressive children's adventure playgrounds and Go Ape! high ropes course. The site is located at the foot of the Whinlatter Pass, making Braithwaite Village the perfect base for exploring the northern Lake District. The site has 150 grass or hardstanding pitches.

Braithwaite Village site is set in the village of its name sake and is a few minutes’ drive from the market town of Keswick. The town can also be reached by bike within 20 minutes – there is a four-mile cycle route from the village centre heading east to Keswick that takes in Swinside Fell. Plenty of walks can also be enjoyed locally too, such as the circular Newlands Valley route.

The toilet block with underfloor heating, provides showers, wash basins & wc’s. Parent and baby room, family showers plus dedicated accessible facilities. Laundry. Dish washing area. A hot water enclosed dog wash facility. Motorhome service point. Chemical toilet point. A bike service area complete with pump, maintenance station and bike wash. Shop. Gas sales. A backpacker room with clothes and boot-drying lockers, and seating area. Wi-Fi free, Large children’s play area. Super serviced pitches, grey water, fresh water, electric and TV connections. Pets welcome. Dog walk. Earliest arrival time 13.00

Location

From M6 junction 30 & Keswick on A66. Turn left onto B5292 and the site is then on the left. From Workington/Cockermouth on A66. Do not take any turnings to Braithwaite until you reach the B5292. Tun right and the site is on the left.
