Alan Rogers Review
This is very much a family site with a great range of facilities provided. It is well organised and well laid out, set in an elevated position in attractive, undulating countryside. A tarmac road runs around the site with around 450 large grass pitches (Appx. 120 for touring), some slightly sloping, many with a fair amount of shade, on either side of gravel access roads in straight rows and circles.
The main activities take place adjacent to the large, circular, all-weather family pool. This is an outdoor pool in the high season and is covered and heated in cooler weather. Several play areas are dotted all over the site.
Almost all pitches have electricity, either 10A or 16A. An all-weather swimming pool complex is beside the site entrance (free for campers) and entertainment for children is arranged in high season.
The entrance to the site has been made vehicle-free (vehicle entrance is on a separate road) and provides a pleasant terrace and shopping area. Seven serviced, overnight motorhome pitches are provided in the car park area. Throughout the site, all signage is in four languages including English.
Three modern heated sanitary buildings well situated around the site include mostly open washbasins (6 cabins in one block). Baby baths. Facilities (including accommodation to rent) for wheelchair users. Washing machines and dryers. Motorhome services. Shops. Coffee bar. Restaurant with terrace. Swimming pool with a sliding cupola (heated all season). Outdoor pool for toddlers. Play areas. Trampolines. Volleyball. Minigolf. Tennis. Bicycle hire. Riding. Internet points. Free WiFi.
From N7 (Diekirch-Luxembourg City), turn onto N8 (CR118) at Berschblach (just past Mersch) towards Larochette. Site is signed on the right 1.5 km. from Larochette. Approach road is fairly steep and narrow.Link to campsite location map on google
