This naturist site borders the polders in a quiet location on heavily wooded undulating land; the attractive 14-hectare Athena Naturisten Ossendrecht site has over 300 pitches, 35 of which are reserved for touring units. 29 have electricity connections (6A) on grass/sand and are fairly level, with shade from trees in places.

The reception, attractive clubhouse with bar and terrace, as well as the swimming pool, sports areas and car parks, are located towards the entrance to the site, leaving the camping area quiet and vehicle free.

Adjoining the site are extensive forests ideal for relaxing strolls, as is the nearby Kalmhoutse heath. On the coast, there are naturist beaches at Vrouwenpolder and Oostkapelle, while the site itself offers ample sporting opportunities or the option of simply enjoying some quiet relaxation.

Five well maintained sanitary buildings distributed over the site. Hot showers (€ 0.50). Good accessible unit. Laundry. Bread to order (July/Aug). Bar/café. Swimming pool. Paddling pool. Sauna. Beach volleyball. Pétanque. Badminton. Play areas. Social room with games and books. Activities for children in high season. All visitors must be in possession of an International Naturist licence. Dogs are not accepted. WiFi (free by reception).

Directions to Athena naturistencamping

From Antwerp on A12 travelling towards Bergen op Zoom, take exit 11 Zandvliet Ossendecht. At roundabout take second exit heading back towards motorway, turn left before motorway bridge into Antwerpsebaan (sign ‘No trucks, 3.5 tonne weight limit’) which becomes Zandvlietsweg. Gated site is 250 m. on right.
