Alton Water Campsite sits within the boundaries of the Reservoir - the largest water park in Suffolk. Why not wake up to the spectacular sight of the sun rising over the reservoir. It is the perfect base from which to explore the area on foot or by bike. Alton Water Tea room, located just across the way serves snacks and hot food throughout the day. The site offers a level grass area with 88 grass pitches, most with electric hook-up.

Alton Water Reservoir offers many activities so whether it be a leisurely stroll, or more adrenaline-filled action, you can benefit from the many walking trails, eight-mile cross country cycling track and the water sports activities available. There is also opportunity to enjoy a day by the water fishing. There is a cycle hire centre onsite stocking everything from bikes to buggies and go-karts.


A Suffolk barn style toilet block has showers, toilets and wash basins. Facility for visitors who are disabled. Dish washing area. Chemical toilet point. Children’s play area. Ball games. Ice pack freezer. Gas sales. Tea room. BBQ area. Pets allowed. Dog walk.

The access road leads off Holbrook Road (B1080). The tea room and visitor centre is off the first right and the campsite is the first left (slightly further up the road). The watersports centre and cycle hire is just around the corner to the right. Once you have turned into the campsite, park on the new arrivals bay on your left and report to reception.
