Alan Rogers Review of Akebar Park
Akebar Park is a family-friendly park near Leyburn with 18-hole golf course on site within 20 minutes' drive of Richmond Castle and Jervaulx Abbey. Also on site is the lovely-looking stone-built Friar's Head pub and restaurant serving bar lunches and evening meals, beer garden and blazing log fire. For golf fans it also has an 18-hole course on site. The park sits between the historic houses, museums and ancient landscapes of the North York Moors and Dales national parks. The touring field has toilets and showers, washing up areas, chemical waste disposal facilities, onsite shop with basic supplies, and larger supermarkets are located within just a 10-minute drive from Akebar. The site has 175 pitches of which 46 are hardstanding/grass touring pitches with electric hook-up point (some seasonal). The rest are occupied by privately owned mobile homes. N.B.
