Beechwood Grange Caravan and Motorhome Club site is just to the north of York and a short distance from the outer ring road (A64). Just beyond the Beech Grange Stud, the recently modernised site provides 100 hardstanding pitches all with electricity. Planning permission is currently being sought for a further 50 fully serviced pitches. The pitches are divided by mature beech hedges, and a few are designated explicitly for disabled campers. A dog walking area, boules pitch, and children play area are also available. Dog washing facilities can be found near the motorhome service point.

This is a good, level site with easy access and sizeable level hardstandings. The new toilet block is one of the best we have seen. The City’s Park and Ride is a short distance away providing an easy route to all that York has to offer. Parking is available for late arrivals. You won’t be able to resist walking back 200 yards to see the young foals in the field adjoining the Stud.

The new central toilet block, one of the best we have seen, provides good showers, WCs, and washing facilities in cubicles. Separate accessible sanitary facilities. Children's facility. Laundry. Dish washing area. Gas sales. Motorhome service point, three chemical toilet emptying points and service points. Children's play area. Dog washing area. Dog walking field. Boules pitch. Tents allowed. BBQ's allowed gas, charcoal & electricity. Twin Axle caravans accepted. Late-night arrivals area. TV reception good. Wi-Fi poor, charged. Defibrillator. Bus stop 1600 metres. Asda 1.5 miles.

Location

From the south-west on A64: ignore the first signpost to the A1237 (signposted York, Thirsk, Harrogate). In 10 miles at the roundabout with traffic signals turn left onto A1237 (signposted York, Thirsk, Harrogate) and get into the right-hand lane. In 100 yards at the roundabout turn right (third exit) into road signposted local traffic only. The site is at the end of the drive.From north-west on A1237: follow signposts to Scarborough. At the double roundabout turn left (first exit) into road signposted local traffic only; then as above. Don’t rely on your satnav if using only the postcode.
