Alan Rogers Review of Yelloh! Village les Ramières
This rugged area of La Drôme Provençale is in contrast with the gentler landscape in the northern parts of the département. The new owners are completely rebuilding this site from scratch. The very large level, stony pitches are on terraces with wonderful views over the surrounding hills. There are 92 accommodation pitches plus 35 fully serviced pitches (10A electricity), for touring, have little shade at present, though over 3,000 shrubs and trees have been planted. It also has access to the shallow River Eygues, ideal for young children in hot weather. Not suitable for large outfits or those with walking difficulties.
The site has a swimming pool, bar and snack bar with takeaway meals. A small number of wooden chalets and mobile homes are available to rent. The village of Sahune is only 2 km. from the site. It is a typically Provençal village, with a few shops, a hotel/restaurant and various other services. The area is justifiably popular for all manner of sports, including rock climbing, riding and paragliding. Nyons (15 km) is a delightful town with a well known Provençal market every Sunday morning. The town, famous for its olive oil, also hosts a large number of free outdoor concerts throughout the summer.

The site features a recently built, well appointed heated toilet block with another one planned, includes family showers and accessible facilities. Washing machine. Heated outdoor swimming pool (all season). Direct access to river. Play area. Volleyball. Aerobics. Aquagym. Petanque. Evening entertainment. Picnic area. Shop. Bar. Takeaway. Snack bar (all season). WiFi free at bar, elsewhere charged. Chalets, mobile homes and Safari tents to rent. No charcoal barbecues accepted.
