Previously known as Camping Flory, Camping Avignon Parc is a traditional, country site in the heart of Provence and only ten minutes drive from the historic Papal town of Avignon. The area dedicated to camping is somewhat sloping, with shade provided by mature pine trees. There are 95 touring pitches with 10A electricity. Mobile homes occupy a separate area. Vedène lies in a low area not far from the confluence of the Rhône and Durance rivers, but the site is on a hillside and the danger of flooding is minimal with excellent precautions in place. An award-winning warm welcome is offered by owners, Ernest and Jeannine Guindos.

Tourist destinations nearby include Avignon, Orange and Carpentras (all within 15-25 km) and, a little further east, Mont Ventoux (beloved by hill-climbing cyclists) and the spectacular Gorges de la Nesque.

Three toilet blocks, two old but refurbished to a good standard, one new. Some washbasins in cabins and pre-set showers. Good accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Shop providing basic supplies. Small restaurant (1/7-30/8) with simple menu and takeaway. Bar (5/7-23/8). Swimming pool (no shorts) with paddling pool. Play area. Volleyball. Boules. Some organised activities in high season.

From A7 autoroute du Soleil, take exit 23 (Avignon Nord) and follow D942 towards Carpentras for 3 km. then turn right at the second sign for Vedène. Site is also signed east from the centre of Vedène.
