Alan Rogers Review of White Hill Farm Caravan Park.

This is a small, informal caravan park on a working farm and lies at the edge of and overlooks the tiny village of Pitton. The site has 22 grass or hardstanding pitches, all of which have an electricity hook-up point. The site provides quality amenities in a rural setting with ample room between pitches. The toilet and shower facilities are kept spotlessly clean, and they expect guests to leave them as they find them. There is easy access to water, a chemical disposal unit, washing up facilities, and fire extinguishers. The village shop is close by with a good supply of provisions, as is the Silver Plough public house and its excellent restaurant. As the site can get busy during the summer, you are advised to telephone to make a reservation rather than send an email.

White Hill Farm Caravan Park is fifteen minutes’ drive from the medieval city of Salisbury, which today is a busy working cathedral city with a twice-weekly market, a monthly Farmers Market and an occasional French market.  The Jewel in the Crown is, of course, Salisbury Cathedral with its soaring spire, the highest in England, and it is one of the most famous and spectacular cathedrals in the country.
