Camping Cnossen Leekstermeer is a great site for nature lovers and watersports enthusiasts. There is a very extensive fleet of canoes, sailing boats, motorboats, rowing boats and electric whisper boats, with windsurfing and sailing schools available. There are 115 touring pitches (125-175 sq.m), all with 6-16A electricity, water and drainage. All are on level, grassy fields with shade from mature trees and bushes, and there are three hardstandings. The site is situated in the centre of a nature reserve, offering many opportunities for walking and cycling, and only 20 km. from the bustling town of Groningen. There is a water adventure camp (8-12 and 12-17 years), and a boat decorating competition on Thursday evenings. Wildlife classes are also run by the site.

To the rear of the site is a pasture for sheep and horses. There are five fields for family and group camping, with is a separate, small sanitary block. At the front of the site is a restaurant (with reception) and an open air terrace, plus a marina. Pitches here have marvellous views over the Leekstermeer and it is possible to moor your own boat in the marina.
