Wallace Lane Farm is a fully licenced site offering a range of facilities for tents, caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. There are a range of pitch options including grass pitches for small or large tents, fully serviced hard standing pitches for caravan or motor homes. A range of standard hard standing pitches: 18 gravelled hardstanding pitches, 14 fully serviced with electric, water and waste and 4 have electric-only with water available nearby. There are 5 large grass pitches for small to large tents all with 10amp electric supply and water (some seasonal).
Within a 10-minute drive are the villages of Caldbeck, Hesket Newmarket, Uldale, Rosley, Bolton new Houses, Dalston and the market town of Wigton. Within an hour's drive, you can reach nearly all the Lake District and North Yorkshire National parks, as well as the southern Scottish coast of Dumfries and Galloway, Gretna Green and most of Hadrian's Wall. Local shops in Caldbeck and Wigton and many visitor attractions within a short drive. The site also has 10 lodges, yurts & cabins for hire.
The site is situated high in the magnificent Northern lakes, on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, close to the villages of Caldbeck, Hesket Newmarket and Uldale. The nearest village is Caldbeck, which must be one of Cumbria's most beautiful villages. The churchyard in Caldbeck contains the grave of John Peel, one of the county's most famous characters, born in Parkend Caldbeck in 1776. As a huntsman and merrymaker, he had no equal and became nationally renowned after a song was written about him and performed in London in 1869.
