Alan Rogers Review
Alongside the Lindsey walking trail and surrounded by mature Forestry Commission woodland, this small, attractive touring park is very peaceful. The new owners, John and Brenda, will make you very welcome. They have upgraded the facilities and have plans for further improvements whilst still maintaining the site’s identity as a tranquil retreat. There are 60 well spaced pitches, 52 with 10A electricity, marked out in a single, mainly flat, grassy field divided by a central gravel road and with a double row of trees providing useful visual screening. About a mile away is the small town of Market Rasen.
Further afield and within easy driving distance, are Lincoln, the east coast including Skegness and, of course, the Lincolnshire Wolds. The Viking Way passes through Walesby and there are many other shorter walks in the forest and surrounding area.
Facilities
The single, heated toilet block is spacious and ample for the site. Pushbutton showers and open style washbasins. Accessible sanitary facilities. Laundry room. Some basic supplies kept in reception. Coffee shop (weekends 08.30-14.00 Easter-5 Nov). Battery charging. Gas supplies. No kite flying (overhead wires). Hardstandings. Seasonal pitches. Winter caravan storage. WiFi over site.
Location
Market Rasen is on the A46, 17 miles northeast of Lincoln. Park is just over a mile northeast of the town. Take B1203 towards Tealby, then turn left 800 yds. along Walesby Road. Site is on left. It is signed from all the main approach roads to town.
