This is a pleasant and large, non-textile naturist campsite on the Chiappa peninsula with 200 pitches, some with good sea views, for touring and tents, plus over 200 bungalows. The pitches are informally marked and are a variety of shapes and sizes. Cars are parked separately. Very long electricity leads may be necessary. The superb beaches are between long rocky outcrops and it is safe to swim, alternatively you can enjoy the swimming pools beside the main beaches, along with the restaurants and bars.

This is a well organised site with plenty of activities on offer.nThe two beach restaurants and bars enjoy good views and there is a full animation programme in high season plus extensive watersports. Some touring pitches are a considerable distance from the amenities and an off-road bicycle would make life easier. The bungalows have the prime places, as do the seasonal pitches, although touring units may be allocated one of these if not in use. The staff are friendly and efficient and English is spoken.

The sanitary facilities were clean when we visited. Accessible facilities, Washing machines. Well stocked shop. Two bars and restaurants with snacks. Bistro. Two swimming pools (one heated). Play area. Riding. Tennis. Minigolf. Fishing. Diving, windsurfing and sailing schools. Keep fit, yoga, sauna and massage (charged high season). Pottery. Riding. Satellite TV. Disco. WiFi over part of site (charged). Torches essential.

Directions to Village Naturiste la Chiappa

From Bastia, N198 heading south, take Porto-Vecchio bypass (signed Bonofaccio). At southern end, take first left signed Pont de la Chiappa, unclassified road. After 8 km. site signed. Turn left and follow rough track for 2 km. to site.
