With a central location in the Vale of Pickering, Upper Carr is well placed for the many attractions the area has to offer. Part of the Flower of May group, the park is being improved during 2014 and many changes are planned, including larger numbers of static homes. The park is surrounded by a high, well trimmed hedge which protects it from the wind and deadens the road noise. Upper Carr’s six acres provide 86 level pitches, 45 for touring, with 10/16A electricity and some with hardstanding. Seasonal units use 28 pitches. The picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale can be reached on foot or by bicycle along the Upper Carr nature trail. Three camping pods are available to rent.

The site has good access to the A169 for people travelling to and from the North York Moors. Unfortunately, large RV style motorhomes cannot be accommodated.

Facilities at Upper Carr Caravan Park

Recently refurbished, heated toilet blocks are in chalet style buildings. Baby changing facilities. Separate accessible room with WC and washbasin. Laundry room. Motorhome services. Small shop in reception supplies basic needs and gas. Good play area. Games room with pool table, TV and electronic games. Nature trail. WiFi (charged).
