Alan Rogers Review
This is one of many Tirol campsites that cater equally for summer and winter (here seemingly more for winter when a reservation is essential). Tirol Camp is in a quiet and attractive mountain situation on sloping ground and has 240 touring pitches, all on wide flat terraces, plus 26 deluxe pitches with their own bathroom at the pitch. Marked out mainly by the electricity boxes or low hedges, they are 80-100 sq.m. and all have 10A electricity, gas, water/drainage, TV and telephone connections.
There is a fitness and wellness centre (free to campers) with an indoor/outdoor pool complex, sauna, steam room, solarium and aromatherapy massage. The site is very close to a ski lift centre, and a ski and snowboard school for winter stays. In addition, horse-drawn sledge rides, floodlit tobogganing runs and langlauf skiing are available.
The wellness centre, with its facilities and heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, is a welcome place to return to in summer or winter after a full day’s outdoor activities in this attractive region.
The upgraded toilet block in the main building is excellent with some washbasins in cabins and some private bathrooms on payment. A modern heated block at the top end of the site has spacious showers and washbasins in cabins. Facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machines, dryers and drying room. Motorhome services. Shop and snacks. Restaurant (closed Oct, Nov and May). Separate general room. Outdoor swimming pool (12x8 m). Indoor pool and wellness centre. Sauna. Fitness centre. Outdoor chess. Playground. Entertainment and activity programmes (July/Aug). Internet point. WiFi (charged).
LocationSite is on the B164, 2 km. to the east of Fieberbrunn. Turn south at the clear green sign and site entrance is 500 m. on the left. Look for the flags. Link to campsite location map on google
