Thurso Bay Caravan & Camping Park is a lovely 4.5-acre coastal site providing the best of both worlds: stunning rural coastal views with easy access to amenities in town. It overlooks Thurso Bay and the Orkney Isles can be seen in the distance. The North Link Ferry Terminal at Scrabster Harbour is only 3km away. The Blue Door Coffee Shop & Diner, located on-site, is Thurso's indie burger joint, coffee shop, and ice cream parlour all rolled into one. It serves original beef burgers, hot dogs, fish 'n fries as well as its own artisan ice cream and specialty milk shakes and coffee. Take-away available (great food and the great outdoors from the comfort of your tent, caravan, or motorhome). The site has 66 grass or hardstanding pitches and most have electric hook-up point.
There is a children’s play area in the town centre, five-minute walk. There are numerous nature walks, historic and pre-historic sites, loch and ocean fishing opportunities, as well as seasonal sporting events such as the famous Halkirk Games in July. Individual sporting opportunities include beaches, fishing, boating, pony trekking, surfing tennis and bowls. The North Link Ferry at Scrabster Harbour (10-minute walk/five-minute car ride).

There are four banks with cash machines available within a short distance, as well as numerous supermarkets, pubs, shops, etc. There is a bus stop next to the campsite, and taxis will pick up and drop passengers in the campsites car park.

The site is on the A9 (Smith Terrace) heading west from Thurso. The site is on the right just before a Lidl supermarket.
