The Shepherd's Loft is an all-year site based in tranquil Shropshire countryside set on a family run farm in Frodesley village. Take in the views towards Lodge Hill and the Wrekin from 8 serviced hardstanding/grass touring pitches or take it easy in an off-grid glamping shepherd's hut. Well stocked carp fishing lake onsite - campfires and dogs welcome. This is the perfect stop off to see dark skies and do some star gazing. Excellent easy access off the road. Each pitch has access to electric hook up and there is shared shower and toilet facilities as well as a chemical disposal point. With views towards the Lodge Hill and The Wrekin the sheltered site has eggs for sale at the top of the drive and a farm shop just two minutes away by car for anything else. The site welcomes a well-behaved dog on a lead (for the safety of others and the free-range chickens).

Bring a rod to try the fishing pond on site, stocked with Carp of all sizes. With marginal plants around the edges, you can enjoy the quiet breeze whilst you watch your line. Take a two-hour circular walk from the site or set off for more hikes in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For culinary treats, you might also like to head to the foodie town of Ludlow (35 minutes).

The toilet block has showers, washbasins and toilets. Dish washing area. Chemical toilet point. Picnic tables. Fishing pool well-stocked with carp. Fresh eggs are sold onsite. Farm shop five minutes away. Dogs allowed. BBQ’s allowed.

Directions to The Shepherd's Loft

From Shrewsbury on the A5 join the A49 south towards Leebotwood and Church Stretton. Approximately 6 miles after leaving the A5 turn left signed Longnor. Continue ahead through the village passing the primary school. At the crossroads turn left onto Frodesley Lane the site is on the right off this road.
