The Inside Park Touring Caravan & Camping Park is set in the grounds of an 18th-century country house that burned down in 1941. Family owned and carefully managed alongside an arable farm, this is a must for those interested in local history or arboriculture and it is a haven for wildlife and birds.

The 9-acre camping field, a little distant, lies in a sheltered, sloping dry valley containing superb tree specimens – notably cedars and walnuts. a large play area splits the field. In total there are 125 spacious pitches, 90 with 10 amp electricity and some in wooded glades.

The six acres adjoining are the old pleasure gardens of the house. The reception/toilet block and games room block are respectively the coach house and stables of the old house.

No vehicle access to the park is allowed after 22.30 (there is a separate late arrivals area and car park). Extensive, marked walks are provided through the farmland and a guide is available in the shop. A dog graveyard dating back to the early 1700's is under a large Cedar of Lebanon.

The toilet block, the original stable building provides some washbasins in cubicles, comfortably sized showers and accessible sanitary facilities. Laundry room. Shop with basics, gas and camping provisions. Spacious games room. Adventure play area. Day kennelling facilities for dogs. Mountain bike course. Winter caravan storage. Free Wi-Fi around reception.

Directions to The Inside Park Touring Caravan & Camping Park

From the roundabout junction of the A354 and A350 turn towards Blandford past Tesco’s. At the T junction near the Stour Inn turn left and then right into Fairmile Road signposted Winterborne Stickland. Site is about 1.5 miles on the left. Do not use postcode in sat nav, as it will take you to the farm not the campsite.
