This family run park is located in a village four miles from Monmouth. The Bridge Caravan Park was established in 1979, being a working farm until a few years ago. Over half the park is taken up by seasonal long stay pitches. The touring area is to one side, edged by the river at a lower level. Neat, level grass accessed by a circular tarmac roadway provides 33 pitches for caravans and motorhomes, with 10A electricity and 16 hardstandings. A further 20 places for tents are available, all with 5A electricity. In busy periods the site may be cramped with little room between units, yet a friendly atmosphere prevails. Still in the hands of the Holmes family, it provides a rural site bordered by the River Trothy and woodland on one side, and by the farm buildings and church on the other.

Facilities

The purpose built, central toilet block is well maintained and now has a separate shower section, with metered showers in cubicles with dry area. Bathroom for disabled visitors. Washbasins in cubicles and hairdryers. Given the large number of static units the showers will be busy and hot water limited during the holiday period. Fully equipped laundry and dishwashing room. Gas available.

Location

From the M4 Junction 24 take the A449 north turn left onto the A40 and immediately get into the right hand lane to turn north again. Stay on this road for about 3.3 miles (satnav may suggest a left turn after 2 miles but this is a very narrow road). Turn left towards Dingestow where the site is on the right in the middle of the village. From Monmouth head towards the A40 and Raglan but immediately before the A40 turn right towards Mitchel Troy after opulent of miles turn right to Dingestow.
