As you might expect, Terrassen Camping Traisen has its pitches laid out on terraces. The toilet block, day rooms, shop, reception, swimming pool and café are all found around the central main terrace and so are not far from all pitches. Visitors appreciate the well-cared-for facility with personal care and advice. The staff emphasise personal service and can advise you on day trips. The gentle hills of the Alps are ideal for hiking. If you prefer cycling, use one of the many mountain bike tracks directly from our site or cycle along the river Traisen on the Triasental bikeway. Visit the capital Vienna but stay in Lower Austria. Take a trip to the city to learn about the Viennese Waltz, Coffee and Sacher cake. It is only 1 hour’s drive away. The site has 100 pitches of which 40 are for touring units with 6amp hook-up points; the rest are occupied by seasonal units. There are also 5 trekking huts available to hire.

The centre of this beautiful and peaceful place is its outdoor and solar-heated pool; handily, the café/bistro is within steps of the water, so bag a drink or an ice cream and settle down to dry off on the waterside benches or the well-kept grass. More options for your leisurely pleasure include table tennis, table football and a playground with a trampoline (this last is not recommended if much ice cream has been consumed beforehand). A food shop sells groceries and basics.

Location

From the A1/E60 Linz-Vienna Toll Motorway take exit 59 St. Pölten-Sud to join Mariazellerstraße/B20 in the direction of Mariazell. After 15 km you will arrive at Traisen. Follow the site signs and before the church you turn right.
