If you are looking for a good quality family campsite with excellent views in the heart of the Danish lake district, then Terrassen Camping is for you. This family-run site arranged on terraces overlooking the lovely Lake Julso and the countryside is open and spacious and has many fruit trees dotted across the site. There are 230 touring pitches, many with outstanding views, all with electricity (16A). The solar-heated swimming pool with slides and paddling pool has a paved terrace and is well fenced. The large play areas with good quality equipment are suitable for toddlers up to younger teenagers. This is an excellent site from which to explore this picturesque area of Denmark. There is a warm welcome and real enthusiasm for making your holiday enjoyable.

This is very much a family site where the owners work very hard to ensure that their customers have a good time. There is a huge play area with trampoline-style jumping cushions and a mooncar track. Bikes can be hired if ordered the day before. In high season, there is a wide choice of children’s entertainment, including free pony rides. The area has much to offer including a trip on Lake Julso on Hjejen, the world’s oldest paddle steamer.

Directions to Terrassen Camping

From the harbour in the centre of Silkeborg follow signs and minor road towards Sejs (5 km) and Ry (20 km). Site is on the northern side of the road at village of Laven (13 km). Height restriction of 3 m. on railway bridge over this road.
