This site is opposite a long stretch of level sandy beach and is very popular with Italians; there is the main road to cross but a crossing point at the site entrance. This is the main thoroughfare with bars/restaurants and beach-side shops; if you continue down this road, you come into the seaside town of Marina di Ravenna with a Spa supermarket and a much more extensive selection of shops, restaurants and bars and hotels. A bus stops at the site's entrance if you do not wish to take your car or motorhome into town.

The site itself has good access, and sat-nav can be relied upon, there are four sanitary blocks spread across the site with baby change and laundry. There is even an area to wash your car or motorhome and what the site calls a dog beauty area (dog-wash)—a well-stocked shop with refrigerators to rent, bar/restaurant and pool. English is spoken at reception, and pitches are shaded and vary in size. You will be offered a choice of several that fit your requirements upon arrival; most have access to hook-up, and there is an area for tents.

Everything about this site is impressive, from its quiet setting in the Bellocchio nature reserve with its pine forest and coastal lakes (with tower to watch rare bird species) to its beautifully designed central amenity area. The site’s busy entertainment and sports programmes have something for everyone.

The three toilet blocks have been refurbished. Accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Supermarket. Bakery. Bar with modern restaurant and large terrace. Miniclub. Very good play areas. Swimming pools (15/5-end Aug. with lifeguard, caps required). Beach bar and pool bar with entertainment programmes in both areas. Watersports. ATM. Torches and long electricity leads useful. Excursions. Communal barbecue area. TV room. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Spina Family Camping Village

Site is north of Ravenna and east of Ferrara. Take road from Ferrara to the coast at Comacchio, then SS309 south to Lido di Spina. Site is signed from here.
