This well organised campsite in open countryside is owned by the Siblu Group. There are 380 pitches, most with mobile homes (privately owned and to rent) leaving 55 good sized, reasonably level touring pitches. They are partially separated by trees and hedges, some with shade and others open. All but 30 have electricity (10A), and some have water and drainage. This is a campsite for active people, with a full entertainment programme throughout the day. Most activities take place away from the camping area. Play areas and sports fields include equipment for youngsters, a trampoline, minigolf, football and basketball. Only gas barbecues are allowed.

A marquee provides entertainment for children aged up to 12 years and a large barn offers undercover table tennis. Adult and children’s quad bikes can be hired or you can take a flight in a microlight from the site landing strip. Coach trips to chateaux, wine cellars and other places of interest are arranged in July and August or when numbers are adequate. A little train takes guests to a nearby wine cave, and a local farm that produces goats cheese. There are local markets at Onzain, Montrichard, Blois and Amboise.

Three sanitary units include some washbasins in cubicles and accessible facilities. Shop (all season) with bread, ices, soft drinks and gas. Restaurant and takeaway (all season). Barbecue evenings. Heated outdoor pool complex (one pool with slides) and paddling pool (mid May-30/9). Play areas. Minigolf, volleyball, basketball, archery and pétanque. Internet. Pony and horse riding. Microlight flights. Pedalos for hire. Kayaks. Keep fit. Children’s disco, boules and table tennis tournaments. Evening activities.

Location

Onzain is southwest of Blois (15 km), on opposite side of river from Chaumont-sur-Loire. Take N152 (Blois Tours), turn north onto D1 (Onzain). Site signed after railway bridge. Turn right onto D58, then left onto D45. Follow signs.
