Sherwood Pines Camping in the Forest site is situated close to the famous Sherwood Forest, sitting amongst beautiful woodland. The site perfectly located across 20 acres, provides an excellent base to explore the forest with numerous walking and cycling routes. Sherwood Pines is a full-facility site, with all-weather pitches and electric hook-ups. The site also has some fully serviced hardstanding pitches which offer more space, electric hook-up, plus fresh water and drainage. The site has 150 grass or hardstanding pitches (some seasonal), most with electric hook-up point. The site also has glamping pods and safari tents for hire.

Sherwood Pines is within walking distance to the many activities provided by Forestry England, including adventure playgrounds, bushcraft experiences, Forest Segway, Go Ape zip wire course, bike hire, picnic areas, plus open-air concerts held throughout the year.

The toilet block with underfloor heating, provides showers, wash basins & wc’s. Parent and baby room, family showers plus dedicated accessible facilities. Laundry. Dish washing area. A hot water enclosed dog wash facility. Motorhome service point. Chemical toilet point. A bike service area complete with pump, maintenance station and bike wash. Shop. Gas sales. A backpacker room with clothes and boot-drying lockers, and seating area. Large children’s play area. Super serviced pitches, grey water, fresh water, electric and TV connections. Pets welcome. Dog Walk. Earliest arrival time 12 noon.

Location

From the South. Leave the M1 at Junction 27 and follow the A608 towards Mansfield. Take the A611 towards the A617 and the A6117. Sherwood Pines is located on the B6030 between Kings Clipstone and Ollerton. From Manchester and the North West. Leave the M1 at Junction 30 and take the A616 towards Holbeck. At Norton turn right on to the A60. Turn left on to the B6025 and follow this to the B6030 at Kings Clipstone. Sherwood Pines Forest Park is off the B6030.
