Alan Rogers Review of Reedham Ferry Touring and Camping Park

Reedham Ferry Touring and Camping Park offers a peaceful retreat deep in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Spread across four level, landscaped acres, the campsite offers views of the iconic Norfolk marshes and countryside. The campsite has 55 grass pitches 30 of which have electric hook up points. Pitch fees include use of the slipway on site so campers are able to bring a dingy along with them.
The site sits directly on the riverside, perfect for low-effort afternoons. Take your binoculars to spot local herons, marsh harriers, and kingfishers. Enjoy a drink by the river as boats drift lazily past.
Anglers will appreciate the private on-site fishing lake, providing a secluded spot to cast a line away from the main river traffic. Utilize the dedicated on-site barbecue area for an al fresco meal or head over to The Archers which is the on-site pub, where you can sit by the fire and have dinner bought to you.

Set off from Reedham Quay on a scenic 12-mile cycle loop that winds through charming local villages. Hop on the famous chain ferry across the River Yare to explore the deep countryside by car. If you want to get out on the water, you can book a guided river cruise or take the helm yourself by renting a rowboat, canoe, or sailboat.
Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is located just outside Great Yarmouth, this is the place to go if the kids want to see gibbons and other exotic animals up close. A short 11-mile drive from Reedham Ferry, this classic seaside destination is packed with entertainment. Highlights include the Hippodrome Circus and Sea Life Centre, the famous Golden Mile seafront and no fewer than 12 amusement arcades to keep the kids busy for hours.
