This site, a member of the RCN group, has been developed on reclaimed land in the Polderland in the province of Flevoland. There is direct lake access, and the site is split into inner and outer dykes. In the outer dyke area, there are grassy, sunny touring pitches (most with 10A electricity, water and drainage) close to the lake and its sandy beach, as well as Zeewolde’s marina. The marina is a great centre for sailing, fishing and windsurfing. It also has a friendly beach bar. The inner dyke pitches are also grassy but are enclosed by hedges and have mature trees to provide more shade.
Most site amenities are concentrated in this area, such as a large play area with a pirate ship, and volleyball and tennis courts. There is a jungle style outdoor paddling pool and, adjacent to this, a covered, heated pool for more inclement days. This pool is open all year. Polderland is generally flat, open terrain, but the surroundings here are very green with a forest encircling the site and medieval towns such as Harderwijk (with Europe’s largest Dolphinarium!), Nijkerk and Amersfoort all close by.
