This campsite is in the grounds of the Gut Oehe estate, right behind the dykes on the East Sea. Campers can enjoy the vast stretches of sandy beach here, or visit the ancient fishermen’s town of Kappeln. The 359 marked and numbered pitches (139 for tourers, all with 6A Europlug) are on large, grassy fields off hardcore access roads. Pitches are average in size, but as there is no separation, large units will fit just fine. To the front of the site are 20 motorhome pitches with hardstanding. An area with bar, a restaurant/takeaway and sanitary facilities is centrally situated. This is an excellent base for cyclists, as a public cycle route runs over the dyke in front of the site.

The touring field is open with little shade and can become a real suntrap. Interesting places to visit include the harbour of Kappeln with its 20 museum ships, and the idyllic fishermen’s village of Maasholm. Birdwatchers are in the right place here, as there is a large reserve for seabirds close by. Daytrips to Denmark and Flensburg are possible.

Heated toilet blocks have controllable hot showers, some washbasins in cabins, baby room and accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Excellent shop. Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Watersports. Fishing. Diving school. Beach volleyball. Entertainment programme (July/Aug). WiFi (charged).

Directions to Ostseecamping Gut Oehe

On the A7 motorway going North, take Schleswig exit and continue towards Kappeln. From Kappeln, take B199 towards Flensburg. In Kieholm, turn right towards Maasholm/Hasselberg and after 200 m, turn left towards beach and follow site signs.
