Nurseries Caravan Park is a family run site for touring caravans, tents and motorhomes close by to York, North Yorkshire. The site is also known as Askham Lane Nurseries. It has 32 hardstanding pitches (some seasonal), made up of 10 fully serviced pitches and 22 standard pitches and all have electric hook-up. There is no charge for awnings or pets. There are also 2 studio pods available to hire. The site is in the open countryside just off the York A1237 outer ring road in private and landscaped grounds. It is ideally situated in a rural location just 3 miles from the historic York city centre and only 1 and a half miles from the York Park & Ride bus service.
Visits to the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Coastal days out to Whitby, Scarborough and Filey are a 1-hour drive away. The site is also conveniently placed for trips to Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, The National Railway Museum and York’s Medieval Sites. Alternatively, you can walk about a mile down the road to the pretty local village of Askham Bryan and visit the Nags Head Inn, where people of all ages can enjoy a great range of food and drinks in comfortable surroundings. |

The toilet block has showers, washbasins and wc’s. Dish washing area. Laundry with washing machine, dryer, iron and board. Chemical toilet point. Gas sales. Small shop. Open games field with goalposts. Fires of any kind are not permitted. Dogs are allowed. BBQ’s allowed. Earliest arrival time 13.00.
Directions to Nurseries Caravan Park
From the A1 near Knaresborough take junction 47 to join the A59 towards York. Continue to follow A59 to its junction with the York outer ring road. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A1237. Keep right to stay on A1237. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A1237. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Askham Bryan Lane. Turn right. The site is then on the left. From the A1 at Tadcaster take the A64 junction towards York. Next take the A1237 exit from the outer Ring Road towards York (North)/Harrogate/A59/Thirsk/A19/Leeds. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A1237. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Askham Bryan Lane. Turn right. The site will be on the left.
