Nantes Camping is a modern, well equipped site with several types of pitch and different types of accommodation to rent. It lies within the city limits in a peaceful, park-like setting with mature trees. It has 86 flat, good sized pitches for touring units. Some are on grass, some on hardstanding, some are both. All have 16A electricity, water connections and drainage with taps nearby. There are 37 tent pitches on separate grass areas, all with electricity and water to hand. The campsite also has 79 accommodations to rent, made up of cottages, chalets, canvas and wood tents.
Nantes has an excellent tram system with one line passing the entrance (tickets available from reception), and the site is easily reached by bus or tram from the railway station. The adjacent Leisure Complex has a heated indoor pool (free entrance for Nantes Camping customers), skating rink and spa. Reception has information about a wide range of places to see and things to do, including a useful guide to ‘different’ walks and excursions. You could take a day trip by boat down the Loire to Saint Nazaire or a shorter outing on a section of river between Nantes and Angers.
