Alan Rogers Review
Moorhampton Caravan and Motorhome Club site is a lovely small site with good access. Formerly a railway station, the site is nestled in the North Herefordshire countryside. The site has 46 mainly hardstanding pitches, all with electricity 16 amp. Facilities are clean but looking a bit dated with shower curtains over sink cubicles and please note this site does not stock Calor Gas.
The site is also within easy reach of the River Wye - places like Symonds Yat offer canoeing and fishing for those who enjoy water sports. Golfers will not be disappointed as well kept greens and facilities can be found nearby.
The site is in the area of the famous black and white villages - start at Weobley only 4 miles away; there's a trail you can follow to explore some of them. Right off the beaten track, here you will find the opportunity to experience a perfect example of an old English village, with the church at its heart and 14th to 16th century timber-framed cottages lining its streets. You will also find a small shop, Indian restaurant and takeaway in the village.
The market town of Ludlow and Ludlow Castle are both well worth a visit. Also located nearby is the beautiful countryside of the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
