Low Sizergh Farm Caravan and Camping site is on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, set on an organic dairy farm, also home to Low Sizergh Barn farm shop and café. The site combines farmed and natural landscapes and sits between two National Parks. Nature reserves, woodlands, areas of outstanding natural beauty and special scientific interest surround it.

The farm’s fields have 15 caravan pitches and 10 tent pitches, offering a convenient spot for quick stops and longer holidays. There is also a Glamping Pod available to hire. The site is south of Kendal on the edge of the Lake District National Park and close to Junction 36 of the M6 motorway. The site was featured on a recent Chanel 4 TV programme, “The Perfect Pitch”.

The farm shop is where you can stock up or enjoy snacks and meals fit for farmers in the café. There is also a raw milk vending machine, which vends organic milk straight from the farm’s herd and you can watch the cows being milked daily from 3.45pm.

Facilities at Low Sizergh Farm Caravan and Camping Site

There is a clean and spacious unisex shower block, which has underfloor heating. There are three fully enclosed shower units, two toilets, and hand basins, as well as a hairdryer. Heated drying facilities. Chemical toilet point. Motorhome service point. Pot wash area with hot and cold water. Fridge. A freezer and kettle are provided for communal use. Dogs allowed. Dog walk adjacent. BBQs allowed. Earliest arrival time: 2pm.

From the M6 the Sizergh Caravan & Camping site is 4 miles from Junction 36 on the M6. Follow the A590 towards Kendal, take the exit signposted Barrow-in-Furness and follow the brown signs for Sizergh Castle, then Low Sizergh Barn.
