Lima Escape Camping & Glamping (officially Parque de Campismo de Entre Ambos-os-Rios) is a nature retreat located in the Minho region of northern Portugal. Situated on a lush peninsula where the Lima, Froufe, and Tamente rivers converge, the site serves as a gateway to the Peneda-Gerês National Park—Portugal’s only national park.  Spanning roughly 5 hectares of hilly, undulating terrain under tall pine and oak trees, Lima Escape seamlessly blends traditional, rustic camping with high-end, eco-friendly glamping.  

On site you will find 65 sand and hardstanding touring pitches which are scattered across shaded, tiered terraces. Electrical connections are available, though some sections offer limited amperage (2A), while others have standard 15A hook-ups. 

The heart of the campsite’s social life is the Lima bar. It features a cosy fireplace for the winter months and a shaded outdoor terrace overlooking the mountains for the summer. It serves breakfast, lunch, snacks (burgers, toasted sandwiches, salads, with excellent vegetarian options), and drinks. Takeaway is also available.  During the summer, the campsite operates a small, eco-conscious swimming pool crafted from a recycled shipping container. It includes a shallow children's section and a sunbathing area with lounge chairs.  Free Wi-Fi is strictly limited to the reception area and the Lima Bar, keeping the rest of the park quiet.  Dedicated communal BBQ grills are distributed throughout the grounds for guest use.

The riverbanks are accessible within a short walk from the pitches for wild swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding. There are also four stunning natural lagoons and waterfalls located a short distance away.

Directions to Lima Escape Camping & Glamping

From the north on A3 exit 12 and join the IC28/N203 to follow signs to Ponte da Barca. Continue on the IC28/N203. After bridge over the Lima turn left at Ambos-os-Rios. Onto Rua do Outeiro, the site is off this road. N.B.The route from the east to the site is not advised unless you enjoy an adventure!!
