Les Hameaux des Marines is a member of the Chalets en France group. This group comprises four chalet parks in southern France. Please note, however, that there are no touring pitches here. This coastal site is attractively situated 300 m. from a fine sandy beach at the northern tip of the Ile d’Oleron. The nearest beach, the Plage des Huttes has been awarded the European Blue Flag accreditation for its cleanliness. The site is open all year and includes a heated and covered swimming pool. The Ile d’Oleron has miles of excellent cycle tracks and a number of these run very close to the site. The 48 wooden chalets here are attractively dispersed around the site and are all available to rent.
Facilities at Les Hameaux des Marines
No bar, restaurant or snack bar, but bread can be ordered. Ice cream sales. Swimming pool (9x5 m). Play area. Games room. Boules. Communal barbecue. Electric barbecues for hire. Chalets to rent. Security barrier.
Directions to Les Hameaux des Marines
From A10 take exit 35 (Saintes) and head west on D728 to Marennes. Cross bridge to Ile d’Oléron, then follow D26 and D734 to St Denis d’Oleron. Turn sharp left at Croustille Snack Bar into rue St Denis signed Bétaudière. Follow road for 2 km. and at T-junction, turn left to site.
