Pitches here are exclusively for chalet accommodation. Hameau du Lac is a recently developed small complex of five modern, spacious, well equipped and insulated chalets with underfloor electric heating, ideal for six people. It is situated on the banks of Lac Chambon (800 m altitude) in the heart of the beautiful Auvergne National Park. The site has access to the lake (300 m) and some chalets enjoy views across the lake and mountains. Although there are few amenities on site, a very wide range of leisure activities are on offer around the lake, including bathing, canoeing, windsurfing, pedaloes and water-skiing as well as innumerable walking and cycling opportunities. It is a good base to explore this wonderful region, summer or winter.

Leave A75 south of Clermont-Ferrand at exit 6 signed Champeix (D978). Join the N996, go through St Nectaire and Murol to Lac Chambon. Chalets on left at far end of lake just beyond car park.
