Lazar Kamp is a fairly open site, with a relaxed atmosphere, from which there are good views of the surrounding mountains. Located in the countryside 40m. above the Soca river, which is popular with wild watersport fans, there are plenty of walking and mountain biking opportunities directly from the site in this attractive region of Slovenia. The site has 50 open plan grassy pitches, all with 10A electricity, arranged in large sections divided by low openwork wooden fences. The friendly, informal bar/restaurant (08.00-22.00) serves English breakfast and in the evenings traditional Slovenian dishes, including those cooked on a large grill.

This is a site where you really are in the countryside and have access to good well maintained facilities. The bar/restaurant, with quiet well selected background music is popular. During the day sweet and savoury pancakes are available. The site is easily accessible from Austria and Italy and is a good base from which to tour the local region. The site’s owner and staff are most helpful and there is a good selection of tourist information available at reception.

The sanitary block is of a very good standard and includes accessible facilities. Washing machine. Fridge. Bar. Crêperie and grill with terrace area. Internet corner. WiFi. Ranch-style clubroom. Excursions and lots of local sporting activities.

Directions to Lazar Kamp

Approaching Kobarid from Tolmin on 102 just before Kobarid turn right on 203 towards Bovec. After 100 m. take descending slip road to right, keeping straight on to Napoléon’s bridge (about 500 m), then straight on down gravel road 700 m. to site (road is unsuitable for larger units).
