In a very attractive setting, this park is located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the whole area a paradise for hill-walking, fishing and pot-holing, and it has outstanding scenery. The camping area is on slightly sloping grass, sheltered by mature woodland. There are 100 touring pitches (20 are seasonal), 60 with 16A electricity and water and 25 with hardstanding. A separate area contains 66 privately owned caravan holiday homes.

A gate leads from the bottom of the camping field, giving access to the river bank where the Ribble bubbles over small waterfalls and rocks and whirls around deep pools. This area is not fenced, and children should be supervised, although it is a super location for a family picnic. Settle is only 2 miles away, and train buffs will want to travel on the Settle-Carlisle railway over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.

Drive to Settle from the A65, through town centre and then west towards Giggleswick. Ignore turning marked Stainforth and Horton, and after 200 yds. turn sharp right into Stackhouse Lane (signed Knight Stainforth). After 2 miles turn right at crossroads.
