Camping Hennesee can be found in the ‘land of the 1,000 mountains’, a beautiful part of Sauerland. The site is situated on the banks of Lake Hennesee which links the nature reserves of Arnsberger Wald and Homert. The site offers 183 grassy touring pitches (some slightly sloping), all with 6A Europlug and some with great views over the lake. Twenty-five pitches have water and drainage also. Hennesee is an ideal base for all kinds of water-based activities, such as windsurfing, fishing (permit needed) and swimming. English is spoken.

On-site amenities include a supermarket and a café/restaurant with bistro and open-air terrace. The heated indoor swimming pool with sauna and solarium is open all year. Children will doubtless enjoy the playground and games room. In high season the entertainment team organises family activities including swimming competitions, party games and torch-lit processions.

Close to the site is the Warsteiner Brewery, there is also several adventure-style courses in the area including Fort Fun Abenteuerland and Xavers Ranch.

Directions to Knaus Campingpark Hennesee/Meschede

From the A46 take exit 70 (Meschede) and join B55 towards Olpe. Follow this road along the Hennesee (lake) until Mielinghausen. Cross the bridge over the lake and turn right to the campsite.
