Alan Rogers Review
Family owned and run, Kingsbridge is a haven for nature lovers and within easy reach of several beaches. It has both family and adult only areas to take full advantage of the spacious 14-acre site, and being in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many opportunities to observe wildlife, including owls and woodpeckers. Of the 90 level or gently sloping pitches, 55 are for tourers (all 10A electricity) and 35 for tents. Twenty-five hardstandings are included in the touring pitches and two mobile homes are available to rent.
An energy saving ethos means site lighting is kept to a minimum, all the better for star gazing and encouraging the owls. The pitches are arranged around the edges of several fields with space for ball games in the family zone, which is segregated from the adult only field by the static caravan area. Recycling, energy saving taps and solar panels contribute to the site’s green credentials. Beaumaris is within easy reach and the opportunities for trains, boats and hill walking in the Snowdonia area are numerous.
