Alan Rogers Review of Kelling Heath Holiday Park
Not many parks can boast their own railway station and Kelling Heath’s own halt on the North Norfolk Steam Railway gives access to the beach at Sheringham. Set in 270 acres of woodland and heathland, this very spacious holiday park offers freedom and relaxation with 300 large, level, grass touring pitches, all with 16A electricity and six are fully serviced. Together with 384 caravan holiday homes (36 to let, the rest privately owned), they blend easily into the part-wooded, part-open heath. A wide range of facilities provides activities for all ages.
‘The Forge’ has an entertainment bar and a family room, with comprehensive entertainment all season. The leisure centre provides an indoor and outdoor pool, spa pool, sauna, steam rooms and gym. An adventure playground with assault course is near. The central reception area is attractively paved to provide a village square with an open air bandstand where one can sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The park’s natural environment allows for woodland walks, a nature trail and cycling trails, and a small lake for fishing (permit holders only). Other amenities include two hard tennis courts, a small, outdoor heated fun pool and play areas (some rather hidden from the pitches).
