This established, family run site is close to the Rhine in a flat farming area. Access is through the municipal sports centre and may be a little restricted if a football match is in progress. The site has 200 good sized, level grass pitches for touring. Of these, 160 have electricity (16A) and 15 also have water and drainage. English is spoken and the family Breiss ensure the site is well managed and maintained. Dogs are accepted in part of the site only. It is well placed for trips to Europa Park, the Rhine and the Black Forest, as well as for walking and cycling.

Only minutes away from the A5 is the historic city of Freiburg, established in 1120 and the natural gateway to the southern Black Forest. Surrounding the local fruit and asparagus farms, are vine-clad slopes from which some very palatable wines are produced.

Facilities at Kaiserstuhl Camping

Excellent new sanitary facilities include private cabins and showers (€ 0.50). Laundry with dryers and ironing table. Facilities for children and accessible facilities are provided. Motorhome services. Restaurant (5/5-20/9, closed Mondays). Small shop and beer garden next to reception. Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged). Separate section of site reserved for dogs.

Directions to Kaiserstuhl Camping

From A5-E35 northbound take exit 64a towards Breisach. Turn right towards Ihringen and on entering town turn right towards site, 1 km. along road to Merdingen and behind sports centre. If using exit 60, turn left to site as you exit Ihringen - this route passes through some typical villages.
