Over the last 50 years, the Squire family have developed this rural park on their farm, which is located near Salcombe, about a mile from South Sands, along a single track lane. South Sands is ideal for boating, sailing and windsurfing as well as providing safe bathing. A ferry runs to Salcombe town. A large, gently sloping, open field has been slightly terraced to provide 90 grass pitches, 70 of which have 16A electricity. In one barn, there is a covered play area for children under 11 years. For older children, there is another barn equipped with table tennis, a skittle alley and a pool table.

The rural views from the park are amazing, but you have to climb a little higher to see the sea. The five miles of estuary stretching between Salcombe and Kingsbridge is a local nature reserve famed for its unique marine habitats and its birdwatching opportunities. You can travel the length of it by the Rivermaid ferry. The coastal path can be reached on foot directly from the park.

Good quality toilet facilities. Unisex showers in a separate building. Showers are metered (20p for 4 minutes). Freezer for ice packs. Reception with shop for basics (open main season). Play area. Tennis court. Skittle alley. Caravan storage. Hog roast on Thursdays at 18.00 (high season). WiFi on part of site (free).

Park is clearly signed from Malborough. Follow signs to Soar, 1 mile. Turn left at Rew Cross, then first right towards Higher Rew. Follow single track lane to site.
