Located in the sunny southwest corner of Germany, this site is a little under 20 years old. It is modern in design and exceptionally high standards are maintained. Located in meadowland in a quiet rural valley close to the Swiss border, it provides excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and sightseeing. All touring pitches have electricity (16A), water and drainage points. The pitches are grassy and level and of a good size. In the lower part of the site is an excellent indoor heated swimming pool with a children’s pool, a whirlpool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and Turkish bath. A giant indoor playroom is also available.

It is quite evident that the owners have succeeded in their aim to create a first-class site for happy family holidays. Of special note is the area with a communal barbecue pit, beach volleyball and basketball courts, and a youth room where young campers can gather in the evening.

With the Swiss border only minutes away, it is well placed for visits to Schaffhausen and even as far afield as Zurich. It is also an excellent spot to rest from touring the southern Black Forest which is a drive of less than an hour to the west. Also known as Hegau Family Camping.

New heated sanitary facilities include private cabins. Three family shower rooms to rent (two also have a bath). Accessible facilities, Laundry facilities. Dishwashing by EasyBe, Motorhome services. Good value restaurant (20/3-1/11), small shop (20/3-1/11) and bar opposite reception. Indoor swimming pool (Seasonal), sauna and Turkish bath (charged). Three games rooms with TV and computer. Play areas and new indoor playroom with bouncy castle, trampoline and go-kart style track. Crazy golf. Communal barbecue pit. Beach volleyball court. Free WiFi over site. Bicycle hire. Car hire.

Directions to Hegi Familien Camping

From A81 take exit 42 on to B314. At roundabout in Tengen follow international camping signs. Turn right at supermarket on edge of village. From Kommingen follow camp signs turning left towards site at supermarket on edge of village.
