Alan Rogers Review of Haw Wood Farm Caravans and Camping
Haw Wood Farm Caravans and Camping is nestled in 14 acres of picturesque countryside; this camping site in Suffolk boasts excellent facilities. With just a short five-minute distance to the nearest beach, you can enjoy the best of both worlds - a peaceful retreat in nature with easy access to the coast. Pitches here are generous and level, catering for motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents. As well as fully serviced hardstanding pitches, there are also large grass pitches with or without electricity.
There is a heavy emphasis on being environmentally friendly here, evident in the biomass boiler that provides underfloor heating and constant hot water and in the gold awards from David Bellamy that praise the tremendous wildlife present in the park and the green manner in which the site is run. The site is open from March; grass pitches are bookable until the end of October. Hardstanding pitches are available until the end of the year. The site has 65 pitches, most of which have 10/16 amp hook-up points. Some pitches even have a view of a lovely pond.
The farm is popular with stargazers, nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers who come for its closeness to RSPB Minsmere; there’s even a turtle dove cooing around on site – among other wildlife visitors.
