Camping Val Saline is located seven kilometres northwest of Rovinj on a bay close to the Lim Fjord. It is a 12-hectare site, flat or partly terraced, and most of the 345 touring pitches are close to the waterfront, although those further away also have good sea views. Pitches are good-sized (90-140 sq m), all have 16A electricity, and all have water connections.

The site has its own 1km long pebble beach that slopes gently down to the crystal clear water, and there is a jetty for mooring small boats. Val Saline lies adjacent to its sister site, the Valalta Naturist Camp (CR6731.) You are spoilt for choice with the on-site facilities here, with many swimming opportunities. The site has a seawater-fed pool from the nearby bay, an outdoor swimming pool, and a small children's splash park, as well as outdoor heated freshwater pools with a beautifully arranged sunbathing area.

The various swimming areas also have spacious sunbathing areas with sun loungers and umbrellas. On the beach, you will find an activities centre with an inflatable adventure park for small children, Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available to rent. Other onsite activities include basketball, football, badminton, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis and a nine-hole mini-golf course available. Children are kept busy during high season with the vibrant Kids’ Club that offers creative crafts and sports tournaments. This campsite has many features that adults will enjoy, too, with on-site wellness facilities, including three saunas, massage and beauty treatments and a whirlpool. Suppose this wasn't enough to keep everyone entertained. In that case, live music is held regularly during the summer months, and bicycle hire is available so you can take a cycle trip along the picturesque Croatian coast.

The dining options at the campsite are excellent. Restaurant Saline is popular with campers looking to sample Croatian dishes featuring fresh seafood, meat, and snacks such as pizza. The restaurant offers gorgeous views of the sea and has a great choice of local wines. The Beach Bar is a great place to enjoy lunches, refreshing drinks and snacks, while the Caffe Bar with a small shop serves up lovely coffee, cakes, pastries and snacks to grab before heading on an excursion.

One of the most popular places in the region is Rovinj, which lies just 5 miles from the campsite. This lovely coastal town features an impressive old town centre secured by medieval walls and seven gates. Three of these gates still stand proudly today: the Gate of St Benedict, the Portica and the Gate of the Holy Cross. Visitors should climb to the top of the tower of St Euphemia’s Church, Rovinj’s highest point, for incredible vistas over the old town and the Adriatic Sea.

Directions to Camping Val Saline

Site is on coast 7 km. northwest of Rovinj in the direction of Val Saline. From north turn inland (follow signs for Rovinj) to drive around the Limski Kanal. Then follow signs for Valalta 2 km. east of Rovinj. Entrance is 1.5 km. from naturist site.
