Alan Rogers Review
Adjacent to the four-hectare Bremer Teich lake in Saxony-Anhalt, and with views of the Harz mountains, this idyllic site has been extensively upgraded in recent years. There are 140 level touring pitches (80 sq.m), the majority with 16A electricity, and 20 fully serviced. The main attraction is the lake, whose shallow banks make it suitable for paddling, and a lifeguard is present in high season. It is an ideal base for visiting the local area, in particular, the medieval town of Quedlinburg, a UNESCO World Heritage town with half-timbered houses, castle and cathedral. Accommodation on site includes cottages and a hostel, making it a popular destination for groups and school trips.
Facilities
Renovated sanitary blocks can be heated and have hot showers, private cabins, family shower room and facilities for children and disabled visitors. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Shop (1/5-31/10). Restaurant (15/4-31/10). Lake swimming. Playground. Fishing.
Location
Travelling east on B6, take exit for Quedlinburg, then follow signs for Gernrode and Haferfeld (L243). Follow signs to Bremer Teich and site.
