Greenhills Caravan & Camping Park is a beautiful site set within 12 acres of rolling Derbyshire countryside, surrounded by the slopes of the lower Wye Valley. Shelter is provided by mixed woodland around the site boundaries. It is a large site with 140 hardstanding touring pitches and 45 tent pitches in a separate camping area. There are also 3 separate fields with privately owned static caravans. All touring pitches have 16 amp electric hook-ups. The site is located approximately 1 mile from the centre of Bakewell, which is a short 20-minute walk away.

There are a number of off-site activities nearby including fishing, cycle hire, riding and golf. For teenagers and adults, there is a Go Ape nearby in Buxton. Whilst there is no restaurant on-site, a number of local restaurants will deliver takeaway food to the site. The site is well-positioned for visiting the nearby towns of Bakewell and Buxton, as well as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

The site has a children’s play area and a large recreational ground for ball games. There is also a separate games room open in high season for snooker and table tennis. The recently refurbished small bar/clubhouse has a good variety of real ales, and is also open in high season. The site doesn’t provide any entertainment, but there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in nearby Bakewell. There are 3 mobile homes available for hire on site.

The site has a modern heated amenity building with separate shower cubicles, toilets and wash basins. Chemical disposal point. Dishwashing facilities. Small reception area. There is also a separate toilet block near the entrance to the site. Washing machines and driers in separate laundry building. Recently refurbished Bar/Clubhouse. Micro shop providing basic essentials. Wi-Fi available for a charge (free in Bar/Clubhouse). Pets are welcome.

Directions to Greenhills Caravan & Camping Park

From Bakewell take the A6 (Buxton Road) towards Buxton. In about ¾ mile turn left into Crowhill Lane signposted Over Haddon, Monyash, and Greenhills Caravan Park. Site entrance is on the right in about 100 yards.
