Alan Rogers Review of Glenlough Campsite
Glenlough is a family site situated on the TT course only three miles from Douglas. The site is spacious and flat with sheltered paddock. There is a regular bus service which stops at the site entrance. The site offers pitches for Tents, Motorhomes, Caravans and Camping Pods. No Group bookings will be accepted without being pre-arranged. Please contact site to make arrangements. The site has grass & hardstanding pitches most with electric hook-up. There are also Glamping pods available to hire.
Adjoining the site is a secluded, wooded glen which leads to the Manx Heritage Trail, a delightful easy walk through splendid Manx countryside from the Quayside in Douglas through to the City of Peel. The village of Union Mills is a ten-minute walk from the site and offers a convenience shop and post office, petrol station, and a traditional public house “The Railway” offering local beer and food. The Crosby Hotel, one and a quarter mile away on the TT course offering good food and parking. The Hawthorn in Greeba is a family run pub/restaurant offers fresh, home-made traditional and international dishes to suit a wide range of tastes, ages and occasions. |
Facilities at Glenlough Campsite
Toilet, Shower Blocks, Washroom with Deep Sinks. Washing Machine and Dryer. Chemical toilet point. Wi-Fi in the “Pitstop TV room”. BBQ’s and Fire Pits are permitted but must be off the ground, No Open fires. Pets are welcome. Walkers and Cyclists welcome, Drying room, Access to a water point for cleaning boots, outdoor clothing and bicycles. Pets welcome.

The site is on the A1, only three miles from Douglas on the left side shortly after The Railway Inn.
