A traditional, seasonal campsite in a peaceful rural location, Fron has panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. From the entrance gate, a tarmac drive passes through a two-acre, level, grassy paddock, which is reserved for 22 seasonal caravans. The drive leads up to the old farmhouse which houses reception, a well-stocked shop, and plenty of tourist information. Behind the farmhouse is another two-acre, sloping paddock with 36 caravan pitches, almost all with hardstandings, and electricity hook-ups (16A). By the farmhouse, a small heated swimming pool is well controlled by the owners and has a retractable roof. Touring caravans and motorhomes not accepted.

An adventure style playground is located in the tent paddock. The site owners are keen to ensure that trees provide natural shade, and a programme of replacing threatened species gives variety to the campsite views. Pitches are arranged in terraces to afford the best view over the surrounding countryside.

Facilities at Fron Caravan & Camping Park

Toilet facilities are in three units of varying ages and designs located at both sides of the farmhouse. These include a unit for ladies with some washbasins in cubicles, good hot showers in cubicles (40p), hairdryers, a baby area and an accessible suite . Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Heated swimming pool (30x14 ft; May-Sept). Playground with swings. Gas stocked. Max. 2 dogs per pitch. Torches useful.

Directions to Fron Caravan & Camping Park

Cross Britannia Bridge and take first slip road (Llanfairpwll A4080), then next left (Newborough and Brynsiencyn). Continue on A4080 for 5 miles, turning right in village at Groeslon Hotel. Continue through Brynsiencyn for 1 mile to site at western end of village. The entrance requires a wide sweep for a car and caravan.
