In one of France’s most picturesque regions, amongst the Vosges mountains and the vineyards of Alsace, Verte Vallée enjoys an enviable location just 300 m. from the shore of the Lac de Longemer, and within easy reach of the popular towns of Kaysersburg and Colmar. Of the 147 pitches, 130 are for touring with 4-10A electricity (long leads advisable). The site is open much of the year and winter sports enthusiasts can leave their vehicles on site and use the shuttle bus to their destinations. There are chalets and tent lodges to rent and a large cottage for parties of up to 22.
Sitting some 750 m. above sea level and surrounded by wooded hills and mountains, Verte Vallee offers a myriad of hiking and cycling opportunities throughout the year. About 10 km. to the west lies the busy town of Gerardmer and its lake, with boat trips available from the quay. The heated and covered pool is open from May to September and an indoor games and TV room are handy on rainy days. This campsite is a most attractive and scenic base for a truly rural holiday and is perfect for families with children.

Location
From Metz/Nancy take E23 to Epinal. Then D11 and D417 to Gerardmer. Continue on 417 and D67A. Site will be found on the left, shortly after passing the Lac de Longemer.
