On the outskirts of historic and picturesque Manosque, the largest town of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, this is an ideal base from which to explore the Luberon to the north, the Gorges du Verdon to the east and Mediterranean Provence to the south and west. There are 106 pitches separated by hedges and shaded by pine trees; 62 are for touring units, most with electrical connections (6A), whilst the remainder are occupied by mobile homes and canvas lodges. The medieval heart of Manosque has quaint, narrow streets and from the Mont d’Or you can enjoy views of the Durance Valley.
Among places to visit nearby are Lurs, voted one of the prettiest village in France, and Forcalquier, a typical Provençal town with a magnificent citadel and views of the Lure Mountain and Mont Ventoux. Valensole is famous for its lavender fields, whilst Les Mées has numerous troglodyte houses. The spectacular Gorges du Verdon can be explored by boat, pedalo or canoe, as can the Esparron Lake and Gorges which are nearer the campsite and have far fewer visitors. Other days out could include visits to Aix-en-Provence or Marseille, or a trip to explore Cassis and enjoy a drink by its busy harbour.

Manosque is 60 km. north east of Aix-en-Provence via A51 motorway. Leave at exit 18 and head north east on D607 to Manosque. At third roundabout, take 3rd exit signed Ste. Tulle, Apt. Continue ahead across junction (Apt, Pierrevert) and at 2nd roundabout take 3rd exit following sign to campsite on right in 500 m.
